Buffy!

  • Mood:
  • Reading: Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Here a short while ago I participated in a contest over at Sidhe's site. She wanted to know which "monster" would you most like to be and why. I had fun coming up with some Dave Letterman Top 5 Picks. It was a Happy/ Sad contest because I won, but only by default because no one else jumped in. People missed an opportunity to have a little fun and throw out some wild reasons as to why they'd like to be one of the minions of the dark.

My prize: a special issue of Buffy the Vampire Slayer comic entitled the Long Way Home. The art is crisp and it's penned by Joss Whedon himself! I haven't read a comic in years - and I've got about a thousand sitting in my basement feeling mighty loney - or seen Buffy on the tube in a while so this is a special treat. Buffy encompassed the Urban fantasy genre so well and had a voice that still reasonates today.

I'm looking forward to a little quiet time so I can devote my full attention and get swept up in a world I sorely miss.

Thanks, Judi!
