It's been all over the news so this doesn't come as any shock but George Carlin is dead. At the ripe old age of 71 a provential giant of the truth and free thinking has met his match with a bum ticker.
Through his constant rant and assault on conformity he opened our eyes a little wider when we viewed the world around us. I'll remember him for many things, for raving about driving, words you can't say on television, what to do with leftovers, and his stab at how language has gotten flabby.
Goodbye, George. I'm sure that whereever you are at the afterlife has gotten damned funnier.
