Over at Absolute Write, horror power mod Haggis offered up a challenge for the Horror Hounds on the board. He recently discovered an e-zine called Necrotic Tissus that was attempting to build its readership so they could offer pro rates to author submissions. It's a free e-zine you can subscribe to. Haggis had good remarks about the fiction and saw that they were excepting 100 words flash fiction stories.
So, we the Horror Hounds of Absolute Write have challenged each other to produce the best horror shorts we can. Hopefully, one of us wil catch the editor's eye and help build the mags readership as well.
Small press is where lots of writers get there start and make a few bucks in the process. Buy like any publication, the more readers equals more money, but more importantly it keeps the magazine afloat and gives writers a stable place to showcase there work.
Check out Necrotic Tissue and see what you think!
